The students have indicated that overall their feelings of connectedness and wellbeing at Surrey Hills PS are comparable with other students in the state.

A Restorative Practice approach has been fully adopted across the school embedding a common and valid approach for students and staff to share and resolve issues. The time spent in this approach has led to common language and understanding across the whole school community to ensure a healthy and supportive environment.

Student attendance is a focus across the school, encouraging parents to minimise disruption to student learning through appointments and holidays. Educating students for the future has also led to a focus on the respect embedded in punctuality.
Preventative Health programs aimed at positive behaviours and self image will be introduced over the next two years.
